CONGRATULATIONS!!!  The 5^th Grade Academic Team placed 2^nd in the district for Quick Recall.  In the regional meet involving 18 districts in the state, Kaitlyn Coffey placed 2^nd in Math and Mason Reese placed 3^rd in Math. Good Job to them and all of the team!

Parent Portal:  Parents!  How would you like to know your child’s grades, attendance, and even discipline on a daily basis?  Now you can!  Through Infinite Campus, a computer program that is in use district wide, you can get this information concerning your child without calling the school.  You can also send e-mail to teachers so you can be in constant contact with them.  We encourage all parents to sign up, and become even more involved in your child’s education!  If you are interested, please contact the school at 866-3587.

Grade Cards:      Grade Cards will be sent home with students on Monday March 29^th

                                                and Tuesday March 30^th.

SPRING PICTURES: Spring picture money is due on Tuesday, March 30^th. There will also be a late pick up on Monday, April 12^th.

MCTEACHER’S NIGHT!!!! Russell Springs McDonald’s is sponsoring RSES in earning 20% of all sales on Tuesday, March 30^th from 5:00-8:00 P.M.  Teachers will work behind the counter to serve you and your family, so come out and support our school!  All money earned will go towards purchasing classroom materials.

PTO Fundraiser: Y-Ties made in the USA!!  Y-ties are for sale through the RSES PTO until Wednesday, April 15^th!! Help support the PTO and get some cool shoestrings!!

SPRING BREAK

SPRING BREAK BEGINS FRIDAY, APRIL 2^ND THROUGH           FRIDAY, APRIL 9^TH.  KIDS RETURN TO SCHOOL MONDAY, APRIL 12^TH.

6^th Grade Physicals

Your child is required to have a check up before moving up to the sixth grade!!  Kentucky law (KRS 158:035) requires all students entering 6^th grade to have a physical exam within one year prior to entering the 6^th grade.  Also, an up to date immunization certificate is required to enter the 6^th grade. 

To avoid the rush, get your checkup early and be entered for a chance to win a MP3 Player!!

·        Call the school nurse and schedule a 6^th grade entry physical @ 866-3587

·        Your family doctor or local health department can give your child the exam, as well.

(Exam forms must be turned in by May 14^th to be eligible for a chance to win a MP3 Player)

RSES has T-shirts for sale!!  They are grey with blue writing.  The picture was designed by a student here at RSES and we are so proud to offer it to you.  The cost is $10.00 each and come in a variety of sizes.  If you are interested, please fill out the order form and send back to school by April 1^st.  Make checks payable to RSES PTO.
